Duties
- You will serve as the head of the Material Handling Branch within the Asset Management Division at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC).
- You will provide shop-level direction for a team, ensuring the successful execution of the NFPC mission.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the daily life-cycle of industrial operations, managing human capital, and implementing project management policies that support the manufacturing of submarine propulsor components.
- You will apply advanced management principles to meet customer expectations and drive mission success.
- You will execute short-term production plans, coordinate daily work, and provide technical guidance to work leaders and employees.
- You will direct quality activities on the shop floor, manage workflow prioritization, and track project milestones to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality industrial products.
- You will monitor the daily life-cycle of industrial operations, facilitating operational briefings and milestone reviews to validate documentation, assess schedule adherence, and mitigate business risks.
- You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure daily shop operations meet schedule, budget, and resource requirements for propulsor delivery.
- You will exercise full-range supervisory responsibilities, including planning and assigning work, setting priorities, and evaluating subordinate performance.
- You will empower employees, resolve grievances, and make or approve selections for positions.
- You will improve production, eliminate bottlenecks, and promote team building and business process improvement.
- You will serve as the primary business liaison, applying advanced organizational management principles to maximize stakeholder satisfaction.
- You will provide comprehensive operational metrics to divisional leadership and demonstrate a wide array of supervisory skills, including conflict resolution, tactical planning, and personnel development.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading teams or projects in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
