About the Position: Information Technology Specialist (Network), GS-2210-12, position in the Directorate of Engineering & Cyber at Tobyhanna Army Depot. This position will be filled using the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in Department of Defense (DoD).

Duties

• Perform a variety of complex software engineering, network engineering, integration, implementation and support tasks for computer systems administration, network and information management.
• Ensure system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency while resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
• Serve as a system tester with knowledge of network principles and diagnostic techniques to test, install, configure, integrate and maintain systems.
• Contribute and work in researching, developing and engineering solutions to satellite communications requirements to meet mission goals while ensuring Department of Defense and Army compliancy guidelines.

In addition to the competencies, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Working on projects related to the design of small data networks and architectures to meet standard and unique requirements; 2) Designing test plans for testing numerous networking functions, protocols, physical interfaces and products over large and small networks; 3) Installing IT equipment, cabling and peripherals; and 4) Working with agency officials and outside entities in order to solve IT architectural and design issues and system implementation issues.
