This position is located in Mission Support, Executive Office. The ideal candidate for this position will work with senior executives and staff to resolve problems prior to being elevated to the Deputy Associate Administrator and Associate Administrator for Mission Support.

EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions. In this position, you will serve as a supervisor for subordinate supervisors, as well as programmatic and technical staff supporting major initiatives within the Mission Support Executive Office and led by the Mission Support Executive Office in coordination with other offices and agencies. Typical assignments include: Establishing strategic priorities and operational goals for all functional areas within the Mission Support Executive Office in alignment with and support of DHS, FEMA, and Mission Support executive leadership priorities. Responsible for coordinating, reviewing, and improving talking points and presentations for variety of documents for distribution throughout FEMA and externally, as delegated by the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator Ensures issues are addressed timely, judiciously, and progress is tracked until resolution, engaging at all levels to drive progress and mitigate risk. Oversees the coordination of Mission Support budget formulation activities, collaborating with Mission Support executive leadership, as well as staff within the Mission Support components and other FEMA offices to ensure Mission Support resource requests are aligned with Administration, DHS, and FEMA priorities, and present strong justifications linking Mission Support requests to FEMA's mission. Represents the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator for Mission Support in senior-level Mission Support, agency, and interagency working groups and governance bodies that span matters of policy, to include legislative initiatives and resource investments. Qualifications

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
