Summary

You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the UNDERSEA TEST RANGES & FLEET READINESS DIV within the TEST AND EVALUATION DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Duties

  • You will serve as an Engineering Technician assigned to the Fire Control Group for Pacific Northwest Range (PNW) operations and provide input to Division and Branch supervision for administrative matters.
  • You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and coordinating with the Senior or Lead Engineering Technician to translate the customer requirements into executable tasks.
  • You will apply knowledge of the processes and the external environment associated with the fire control competency area.
  • You will provide technical assistance for specialized requirements of complex operations without compromising safety or environmental stewardship in the process.
  • You will apply knowledge in range support systems, range procedures, range operational and administrative organizational structure and pertinent safety instructions.

Qualifications

For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-10) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a wide range of technical engineering concepts and practices to evaluate planning processes for the repair, overhaul, testing, or production of undersea systems. Examples of qualifying experience may include: interpreting engineering test plans; maintaining all required certifications; and effectively applying technical data on and off all PNW ranges to meet customer timelines. For the GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying engineering technology concepts and practices to perform the repair, overhaul, testing, or production of undersea systems.
