LEAD LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist in the Commander, Fleet Readiness Center at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, Fleet Support Team, within the Configuration Management Branch, in San Diego, CA.

Duties

• You will be responsible leading an integrated team to accomplish logistics management, configuration management, and other technical requirements in support of assigned major aircraft.
• You will coordinate logistics management plans to support the activities of assist aircraft system throughout the life-cycle.
• You will collaborate with logistics and other personnel to exchange information on adequacy of aircraft system support.
• You will assist integrated team members in the accomplishment of work to resolve problems and deliver cost effective logistics products.
• You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service applying Logistics Management and Configuration Management principles, practices, methodologies, and technical expertise to support aviation weapon systems and achieve program goals and objectives. Examples of specialized experience includes: (1) Executing and applying Configuration Management (CM) concepts, principles, practices, methods, and tools in support of aircraft, engines, support equipment, training devices, and other major aviation systems, including evaluating configuration requirements and their impact on logistics, maintenance, sustainment, and life-cycle support; (2) Providing technical logistics and Configuration Management analysis, evaluation, validation, and recommendations concerning logistics programs and projects, maintenance capabilities, Logistics Product Data, Logistics Support Analysis, weapon system sustainment requirements, and configuration changes; (3) Serving as a technical advisor to internal and external stakeholders by applying Logistics Management and Configuration Management principles, practices, and technical knowledge to resolve complex issues, validate data and requirements, assess risks and impacts, and support informed program decisions; (4) Collaborating with Integrated Product Teams, engineering, maintenance, program management, and other functional organizations to establish, implement, coordinate, and verify logistics and Configuration Management requirements while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, integrity, and timely delivery of program data and products; (5) Planning, organizing, and directing the work of an integrated team (e.g. Integrated Configuration Team) by identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among team members to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned tasks; (6) Managing and tracking program resources, including budgets, expenditures, work-hours, personnel workload, and other resources, while adjusting priorities and resource allocations to accomplish program requirements and mission objectives within established constraints; and (7) Utilizing forecasting tools, technical information, program feedback, funding considerations, and analytical methodologies to assess current and projected logistics and Configuration Management requirements, identify trends and risks, and develop recommendations supporting aviation program objectives, maintenance capability, operational readiness, sustainment, and life-cycle cost requirements.
