ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Summary

You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Ranges/Trgts Ops/Instrmtn & Labs Group, Point Mugu Sea Range Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

• You will assign, organize, set objectives and plan the work of the Surveillance Systems personnel, requiring considerable thought and foresight from an operational management viewpoint.
• You will maintain awareness of the operational schedule through the TRMS website, be responsible for collecting project requirements for conduct of operations, and coordinate resources required to support operations.
• You will participate in program reviews and briefs to ensure resources in the designated area are available to support specific operations.
• You will apply new and improved techniques, imagination, and creativity in the resolution of unusual problems resulting in the development of special test setups, and procedures to troubleshoot and repair unique Surveillance Systems failures.
• You will provide oversight for equipment management and calibration policies and all other technical management policies and goals.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09/10) or pay band (DT-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Electronics Technician. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Operating and maintaining standard commercial/military surveillance systems to support routine range or maritime operations; (2) Performing scheduled periodic and corrective maintenance on surveillance equipment and associated sub-systems; (3) Utilizing established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Certification, Qualifications, and Currency (CQC) protocols; and (4) Checking basic data feeds and logging equipment status reports.
