Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will provide security support across various functional areas, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and assets.
  • You will apply security policies and procedures to maintain a secure operational environment.
  • You will respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • You will conduct self-inspections of secure facilities, identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks.
  • You will provide training and guidance to personnel on security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

DA-0080-03 Candidates must demonstrate on their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5/8 grade levels or the DA-02 pay band. To be determined "Minimally Qualified". To be determined "Minimally Qualified," the resume must show verifiable evidence of at least 3 of the following criteria: 1. Physical Security & Surveys: Experience conducting physical security inspections or surveys, including basic FSL (Facility Security Level) determinations or reading facility floor plans; 2. Lock & Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Infrastructure: Practical experience working with lock and key hardware or assisting with ESS installation, testing, or evaluation; 3. Policy Application: Knowledge and experience interpreting and apply security guidelines and best practices (within Information, Personnel, and/or Physical security functions) to resolve standard, routine security issues; 4. Communication & Technology Literacy: Experience utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat to draft, format, and publish security communications, emails, memos, spreadsheets, or reports; 5. Foundational Training: Assisting with or contributing toward the documentation of training materials for developing others. DA-0080-04: Candidates must demonstrate on their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9/11 grade levels or the DA-03 pay band. To be determined "Minimally Qualified," the resume must show verifiable, independent evidence of at least at least 3 of the following criteria: 1. Independent Inspections: Experience independently conducting physical security inspections, threat/vulnerability analyses, and reviewing facility engineering/construction blueprints; 2. Advanced Electronic Security Systems (ESS) & Wiring: Hands-on expertise in physical security alarm systems, to include alarm system installation, programming, and low-voltage wiring. Practical experience working with lock and key hardware (including high-security systems like Kaba Mas) or assisting with Electronic Security Systems (ESS) installation, testing, or evaluation; 3. Access Control Certification: Possession of an active, recognized industry certification in access control systems (Genetec or Lenel Certifications); 4. Key & Lock Expertise: Advanced, documented experience managing high-security key/lock mechanisms and integrating ESS considerations into facility construction or acquisition processes; 5. Program Administration: Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), preparing and conducting security training, and writing administrative security packages. Education
