If so, consider joining our amazing team with the NIH, Office of Research Facilities (ORF), Division of Technical Resources! As a Supervisory Engineering Technician you will oversee the Asset Management Section accountable for software tools, modules, and application development related to the computerized maintenance management system for utilities generation systems that support NIH facilities.

Duties

  • As a Supervisory Engineering Technician in ORF you will: Maintain responsibility for oversight of the Asset Management Section Direct and ensure proper execution of software tools, modules, and application development Oversee and coordinate Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) activities Coordinate and develop workflows and administrative procedures for utility systems and components Manage and generate schedules for utility system maintenance and shutdowns Supervise and manage subordinate employees, including scheduling and performance

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Engineering Technician GS-802-13 position you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1.) Leading or mentoring a group of technical staff in the monitoring of utility distribution facilities equipment; 2.) Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system to maintain records associated with utility systems; 3.) Writing utility contract documents such as scopes of work or cost estimates; 4.) Keeping records of preventative maintenance on industrial equipment.
