Duties
- You will serve as a Senior Human Resources Management Specialist, performing duties in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Human Resources Office.
- You will apply a wide variety of HR laws, regulations, policies, and concepts including recruitment, staffing, classification, and position management principles.
- You will develop and implement recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
- You will advise managers on staffing options, hiring flexibility, pay setting, promotions, and other compensation-related matters.
- You will introduce and/or implement innovative approaches to resolve unusual or difficult issues significantly impacting important policies or programs.
- You will prepare and present briefings to provide status updates, identify potential problem areas, and to present findings, recommendations, and results of studies, analyses, and special projects.
- You will prepare and present briefings on study findings, recommendations, and project status, negotiate management acceptance of proposals, and serve as a resident expert and consultant on recruitment and placement programs.
- You will lead or participate in various workforce programs, developing and delivering briefings, reports, and correspondence.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading or managing a team of diverse backgrounds to study, identify, and solve complex problems and resolve identified issues.
