Duties
- ***This is a Title 5 National Guard Employee position description.*** This position is located at the Joint Force Headquarters (State) in the Chief Information Officer (CIO/G6) Directorate. Serves as the Supervisor of Admin Services Section of the User Support Branch. The primary purpose of this position is managing, planning, and coordinating a variety of administrative support services for an installation and/or state operations, to include, but not limited to, communication, correspondence, records management, mail and task management, procurement, budget, protocol, reports, personnel, and special programs. Work involves planning, directing, coordinating, or supervising general support service functions that are essential to the accomplishment of the work of an organization.
Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): This is a Title 5 "Excepted Service " position under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to US citizens interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements. This position is open to Area 1 Only. Please note that applicants outside of these categories may not be considered. Area 1: Current employees (Tenure 1 and 2 / internal to the Agency) Area 2: All other applicants (external to the Agency) Applicants who meet one of the DoD Priority Placement Program categories below are eligible to apply with this preference. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning and organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to obtain their cooperation or compliance with procedures, rules, or practices. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: Must be able to obtain and maintain secret security clearance in support of management of official mail, records, and printing/publications. IAW AR 25-51, AR 25-30. 1. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 2. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 3. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. 4. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory. 5. The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission. 6. Must possess privileged level permissions, to manage official records within system of records platforms (i.e. Army 365 SharePoint Online). 7. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
