Duties

• You will serve as the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the Equal Employment Opportunity, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/ U.S. Navy Space Command/ U.S. Tenth Fleet in Fort Meade, Maryland.
• You will provide expert advice, guidance and coordination on the pre-complaint process.
• You will ensure proper handling of EEO complaints.
• You will advise and coordinate the action of germane stakeholders in executing the complaints management process.
• You will facilitate timely submissions of complaints.
• You will identify and research pertinent issues.
• You will ensure appropriate utilization of grievance and redress procedures.
• You will advocate for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) avenues.
• You will synchronize complaint process requirements with internal and external command representatives when reviewing and tracking investigations and appeals.
• You will also conduct program assessments and lead projects based on the commands EEO/EO priorities.

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience researching regulations and policies to address unique situations and make recommendations for resolutions. -Experience reviewing informal and formal discrimination, harassment and other complaints and conferring with all levels of command and management to resolve complaints. - Experience analyzing data and information and recommending solutions to problems that adversely affect equal employment opportunities; and providing technical guidance and assistance in the informal complainant process to individuals. -Experience providing leadership, policy direction, implementation, and evaluation of the EEO program and managing the discrimination complaints process. - Experience developing, evaluating, and advising on statistical data related to the civilian workforce, individuals from different ages, races, and socio-economic backgrounds. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-0260-13.
