• Maintain an armory in which weapons, ammunition, supplies, and other items used by the civilian guard force are stored.
• Make repairs and adjustments to various small arms.
• Serve as supply clerk with responsibility for processing requisitions.
• Drive a truck or carryall to transport items to various locations throughout the arsenal.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Small Arms Repairer without more than normal supervision. Inspecting small arms to determine repairs needed, Using hand tools, gages and measuring instruments to perform simple repairs. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Troubleshooting Use of Measuring Instruments Physical Effort: Frequently lifts subassemblies or small weapons weighing 15 to 20 pounds. They often carry large assemblies or weapons weighing up to 50 pounds. Work requires walking, bending, and long periods of standing. Work requires reaching, turning or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Working conditions: Works in a well lighted, heated, and ventilated building. Stands for long periods of time and is exposed to oil, grease, and solvents when cleaning and lubricating weapons. Frequently exposed to the possibility of minor cuts and bruises from tools or sharp edges of metal. Subjected to noise when test firing weapons. May work outside when operating vehicles in all kinds of weather. May be exposed to dirt, fumes, and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents when loading and unloading the vehicle.
