Summary

You will serve as a Program Manager in the Acquisition Management Department of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.

Duties

  • You will be responsible for planning, directing, leading, managing, and controlling all aspects of assigned programs from initial plans through acquisition and delivery of the hardware and support systems.
  • You will serve as the Command's spokesperson and primary management interface with interested training agencies, training support agencies, and user commands in all matters related to assigned programs to achieve quality program success.
  • You will utilize established management tools to develop a master program plan which identifies all tasks addressing hardware, software, and courseware spanning the entire training systems acquisition process.
  • You will assure that the team is composed of the best individuals for the program(s), taking the most expedient measures to accomplish it.
  • You will develop acquisition strategies for the various components of the training system research including the determination of which elements or phases will be performed by contractors and what criteria will be used for selection and evaluation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DA-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Program Manager. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Providing overall direction, coordination, and management of all facets for Aviation Maintenance and Aircrew/Operator training systems; (2) Interfacing with headquarters, contractors, and other government activities on all program matters; (3) Directing the activities of a multi-disciplinary staff of assistant managers, project engineers, business managers, and functional specialists (who may or may not be under direct administrative control) to ensure overall technical and project direction of the Aviation Training program. (4) Preparing and managing all planning documentation associated with program organization, product development, and material acquisition, including budgets, schedules, reports, and related records; and (5) Implementing and ensuring compliance with national, headquarters, and local policies applicable to the program.
