Summary

The recent graduates program targets individuals who have graduated recently from qualifying educational institutions or programs. To be eligible, applicants must apply within 2 years of degree or certificate completion, except for veterans precluded from doing so due to their military service obligations, who will have up to 6 years after degree or certificate completion. Successful applicants will be placed in a dynamic, career development program.

Duties

• As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
• Perform engineering solution analyses, by integrating dynamic, state-of-the-art queries and performance analysis techniques.
• Perform work that involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks and enhancing information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools.
• Provide support for Predictive Engineering division, data Branch, and data validation using Microsoft Office Suite and other tool sets as needed.
• Provide data analysis using sourcing from a variety of data from a variety of tools.

Qualifications

Who May Be Considered: Individuals who have obtained a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years. OR Veterans (as defined in 5 U.S.C. 2108) who were unable to apply within 2 years of obtaining a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution due to their military service obligation. Veterans have a full 2-year eligibility period to apply upon his/her release or discharge from active duty. The eligibility period for veterans must be within 6 years of degree completion. You MUST provide your DD-214 to support this claim. Your resume must also demonstrate the following Qualifying Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. GG 07 - Qualifying Experience is defined as: Providing consultation and instruction on complex data access techniques; in addition to querying strategies, and testing techniques. GG 09 - Qualifying Experience is defined as: Independently preparing, testing, and implementing data analyses, establishing criteria, and data to ensure all data application modules and outputs are created and tested for completeness and accuracy. GG 11 - Qualifying Experience is defined as: Independently conducting in-depth engineering solution analyses using state-of-the-art query and validation techniques to ensure network data accuracy and security. GG 12 - Qualifying Experience is defined as: Leading the design, programming, and optimization of complex automated systems while enhancing information systems security policies and procedures; and serving as a key advisor to IT staff and stakeholders on advanced data visualization, query strategies, and network performance analyses. GG 13 - Qualifying Experience is defined as: Serving as the principal Subject Matter Expert directing enterprise-level predictive engineering solutions and strategic data visualization operations; and formulating critical system security policies and advising senior leadership on solving unprecedented network performance and data access challenges. *****Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience within the body of their resume. *****Veterans - DD-214 are required, and will render an ineligible rating if not submitted. *****Transcripts are required along with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50, and degree completion / conferral date. Education

Substitution of education for experience at the 07 grade level: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership. Substitution of education for experience at the 09 grade level: Completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. Substitution of education for experience at the 11 grade level: Completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a directly related field. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GG-12, and GG-13 grade levels.
