Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Belvoir, VA in the Defense Health Network East, Clinical Operations, Network 6 IOC Position. This position provides subject-matter expertise for hospital and ambulatory practice management to include access to care, template and referral management planning and programming. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Duties

  • Provide technical oversight of medical management guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality health care delivery across the Network.
  • Develop evidence-based medical management and clinical evaluation criteria to strengthen intervention quality and inform Network clinical policy.
  • Establish program standards to assess clinical processes and ensure compliance with DoD, national quality, and Uniformed Services medical regulations.
  • Coordinate clinical policy updates with MTF clinical leaders to maintain alignment with current literature and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Analyze clinical policy and medical management data to inform senior leader decisions and support integrated clinical optimization guidance.
  • Lead strategic planning activities to shape practice management direction and integrate provider productivity requirements into planning processes.
  • Conduct onsite assessments and deliver training to evaluate Military Treatment Facility program implementation and enhance clinical quality improvement efforts.
  • Oversee personnel management policies and supervise multidisciplinary staff to ensure effective staffing, performance management, and mission alignment.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience overseeing enterprise medical management policy to ensure alignment with advanced clinical and DoD standards; and applying expert clinical quality methods to evaluate complex health system performance and guide Network policy; and leading strategic planning for large, multi service healthcare systems to influence practice management direction; and managing multidisciplinary personnel programs to ensure effective staffing and organizational mission execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
