Summary

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Grizzly Bend Club & Community Center. This position is considered regular full-time and is guaranteed 35 hours (however may work up to 40 hours) per week. As a regular employee, you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF benefits. *Salary depending on experience.

Duties

  • Assists in program development, implementation and monitoring as well as activity's daily operations, equipment maintenance, and maintenance of the facility. Assists with maintaining a facility equipment maintenance log IAW installation policy. Program emphasis is for official/unofficial functions, active duty members, their families, and eligible personnel IAW AFI 34-262. Duties include, but are not limited to: Development, implementation, and monitoring all group activities (e.g. classes, outreach, competitive games, bingo, and self-directed leisure activities). Recommends new programming activities and events and provides supporting information e.g. cost, resource requirements, target audience, etc., to the Community Complex Manager (CCM) for approval. Assists individuals and groups with the development of clubs or special interest groups. With the assistance of the Squadron Marketing Department, identifies target audiences, develops and utilizes marketing and publicity strategies to maximize program success. Assists the CCM with daily deposits, financial audits, activity financial analysis and budget development. Monitors all appropriated (APF) and non-appropriated (NAF) financial data associated with the activity and makes recommendations to the CCM for program modification, change to scheduling, change to the activity hours of operation, etc., to ensure the activity remains financially solvent. Works with the CCM to identify special scheduling needs based on activity and installation events. Develops room sets-up patterns and arrangements to accommodate a wide variety of events and customer populations. Conduct inventories of the activities APF and NAF assets as directed. With the assistance of the CCM, establishes event/program pricing, collects fees, and protects APF and NAF assets without exception. Maintains a NAF and APF government purchase card and complies with all policy and guidance governing these assets without exception. Monitors operations of the club during absence of CCM. Works with staff members, volunteers, other installation organizations as well as other off-base entities, and contracted personnel to meet the intent and standard for the activities core programming agenda. The incumbent will be subject to uncommon work schedules to include nights and weekends due to programming requirements. Ensures compliance with all Air Force and installation safety and security policies and guidance. Performs other duties as required. Qualifying Experience: The incumbent's experience must provide a hands-on familiarity with the routines and procedures of individual and group activities; practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities to include equipment, rules, financial concerns, and procedures involving recreational, leisure, and professional development programming. The incumbent will be required to clearly communicate orally and in writing with customers, other installation operations, leadership, and off-base enterprises. The incumbent must be skilled in customer service and speaking in public. The incumbent must maintain a current State driver's license, be trained and remain current in CPR and basic first aid and meet all local and Air Force driving policies. This is a drug testing designated position therefore the incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. The incumbent must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
