Duties
- WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Credentialing and Privileging Coordinator , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Maintaining and analyzing credentialing records and documentation. Responding to inquiries from internal partners, program officials, and external stakeholders regarding credentialing requirements, processes, and documentation needs. Tracking credential renewals, certification expirations, and privileging cycles. Preparing credentialing and privileging files for review by program leadership and review panels. Conducting primary source verification of credentials, including licensure, registrations, certifications, education, and training. Applying federal, agency, and program-specific requirements related to credentialing, privileging, assignment eligibility, and qualification standards.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Communicating with multiple stakeholders who have varied backgrounds and expertise to obtain information and documents that are required for the privileging process and notifying stakeholders in writing about the outcome of the credentialing and privileging process. Verifying and tracking credentialing and privileging documents and assembling files for licensed independent practitioners for privileging consideration and determination. Participating in the development of documents, including written policies and procedures, that are used for credentialing and privileging medical staff in a healthcare organization. Assessing program compliance with federal regulations and national health care quality organization standards. Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited. Education
