About the Position: This position serves as Production Controller (Chem-Bio Defense Operations) supporting production control, procurement, inventory, and logistics operations at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Pine Bluff Arkansas.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate production control activities by monitoring workflow progress, guiding team members, resolving technical issues, and communicating operational needs to leadership.
• Oversee procurement and materials by acquiring components, maintaining inventory accuracy, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring materials are available to meet production needs.
• Plan, schedule, and expedite production work assignments by coordinating manufacturing priorities, tracking work in progress, identifying delays, analyzing causes, and implementing corrective actions to maintain production timelines.
• Coordinate sustainment and logistics support by managing the receipt, surveillance, and storage of readiness items and ensuring all chemical/biological defense equipment meets DoD quality and safety standards for global fielding.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes : Assisting in monitoring production activities by tracking work progress, identifying routine workflow issues, and providing technical support in production control processes; Supporting procurement and inventory functions by helping obtain materials, maintaining accurate records, performing basic inventories, and reporting discrepancies; Collecting status updates, verifying material availability, identifying minor delays, and recommending simple adjustments to production schedules; Assisting with logistics support by helping receive, store, and inspect readiness items; and Tracking work or inventory using Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM) and Complex Assembly Manufacturing Solution (CAMS) systems. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
