TECHNICIAN

Summary

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST & EVAL DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

• You will be responsible for performing a variety of complex technical support project assignments directed toward the Aegis (and non-AEGIS) Combat System elements.
• You will independently plan, organize, coordinate, and lead a team of technicians on the maintenance and repair of alignment equipment and tools.
• You will repair the Analog Inclination Data Systems (AIDS), reels, sensors and master stations.
• You will ensure sensors are calibrated and coordinate repair of any broken equipment.
• You will document repairs with Discrepancy Report via Alignment Asset Inventory Management System (AAIMS) or other approved management system.
• You will utilize the management system to monitor trends on equipment and tools that have required repair.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading teams in the management of ship engineering projects to plan work and resolve issues impacting the timeliness and cost of products or systems.
