Summary
This position is located in the Division of Finance, Treasury Branch and is responsible for improving the accuracy of assessment base data reporting from insured financial institutions. Duties
- Develops and maintains the Assessment Information Management System (AIMS) to ensure compliance with assessment-related Corporate policies and procedures. Facilitates the implementation and maintenance of the quarterly assessment processes to ensure that accurate invoices are available to insured institutions within the prescribed timeframes. Directs the review of proposed changes and modifications to the Report of Condition; Advance Notices of Proposed Rulemaking; Proposed Rules; Final Rules; and Financial Institution Letters to ensure assessment reporting requirements are met. Performs analysis/verification of assessment-related Call Report data, including assessment compliance reviews of national and regional banking organizations. Provides customer service to senior officials of banking organizations, their legal representatives, and other interested parties, including answering inquiries and providing information pertaining to assessment payments and processes. Prepares/reviews/edits policies, procedures, management reports, Board cases, Assessment Appeals Committee cases, correspondence, and assessment compliance review reports.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience maintaining daily operations of an assessment program; researching, analyzing, and evaluating information and data pertaining to assessment issues; communicating technical information across audiences, and evaluating operational impact on assessment programs.
