Supervisory Aircraft Examiner

Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Aircraft Examiner in the Operation Support Management Division of MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

• You will assign, direct, and review the work of junior employees engaged in the overhaul of aircraft.
• You will plan and schedule aircraft overhaul work to meet established workload schedules and priorities.
• You will examine aircraft and their mechanical systems, components, and accessories to evaluate any discrepancies.
• You will troubleshoot aircraft systems, components, and accessories and their related accessories to determine rework required.
• You will instruct others regarding completion of aircraft overhaul and repair projects.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including 1) Leading the rework, repair, overhaul, manufacturing procedures and work schedules used in processing aircraft, engines and components; 2) Resolving work problems, giving technical assistance and guidance where required, and coordinating productivity of the unit in accordance with established program schedules; 3) Leading the examination and evaluation process for Induction, aircraft inventory, and systems evaluation; 4) Reviewing production work documents to ensure compliance with current depot policies and procedures, and assigning work to subordinate employees, establishes performance goals and deadline; 5) Providing input on technical directives, engineering specifications, and determining and documenting troubleshooting systems, corrosion conditions, aircraft surface conditions, and logbook reviews.
