Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC)

Summary

This position serves as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Cybersecurity Services Staff, Administration, Shared Services and Internal Controls Directorate in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for planning and supporting major specialized and exceptionally technical programs of marked difficulty, responsibility, and national significance.

Duties

• The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides technical advice and recommendations to leadership and other senior decision authorities on complex cybersecurity matters. Establishes cybersecurity performance objectives and measures and monitor program outcomes against established goals. Leads long-range cybersecurity strategic planning activities aligned with mission requirements and enterprise IT priorities. Analyzes current and emerging cybersecurity requirements, technical doctrines, mandates, and regulatory frameworks. Coordinates cybersecurity planning activities with internal organizations, agencies, interagency partners, and other stakeholders. Determines program priorities, allocates resources, resolves budget, procurement, and staffing challenges.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), at GS-2210-15, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-15 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Manages enterprise cybersecurity programs. AND Develops cybersecurity strategies to support information technology operations. AND Oversees cybersecurity budget and procurement management activities and funding associated with cybersecurity programs and services. Education
