Summary

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Lodging facility at Wright-Patt AFB. The primary purpose of this position is to perform one or more of the clerical work and support to management. The position includes paid holidays, annual and sick leave accrual, as well as optional participation in Group Health, Dental and Life Insurance plans, Retirement, 401K and Flexible Benefits plans.

Duties

  • The primary purpose of this position is to perform one or more of the clerical work and support to management. Performs one or more of the following kinds of clerical work: makes entries to various paper and computer files to control receipt, follow-up actions, backorders, stock record changes, requisition files, and related supply records. Records or posts information from requisitions, contracts, and shipping documents. Answers inquiries about requisition status based on information readily available in local files. Maintains files of description, reference groups, military standards, specifications, cataloging manuals, and other cataloging tools according to Federal supply group, numerical codes, etc. Searches for specific information required by technician and other personnel within the organization, recognizes identification and supply catalog symbols of various items of supply. Maintains inventory records of nonexpendable property for the organization serviced. Inspects storage areas and recommends replenishment of items when quantity appears low, reviews requisitions and revises quantities ordered based on the number of items on hand, and recommends substitutions when items are not available. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience which provided knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations typically required in an inventory management system. Knowledge of computer systems and personal computer or terminal operation used for basic entry and retrieval operations is desirable. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
