Summary
You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the CAFSU AIRLANT Branch (BL15300) of the ALRE Department in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
- You will assist in providing guidance in planning and conducting inspections, technical assistance visits, and Work Package Definition Inspection (WPDI) visits.
- You will have a working knowledge of NAVSEA equipment, which directly supports the aviation facility.
- You will carry out assignments with technical independence in conformance with accepted policies and practice.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public. sector performing duties such as: Adding input to technical reports covering all assignments, outlining conditions found, difficulties encountered, corrective action taken and recommendations for improving the reliability of the equipment. Providing services to the Fleet and conducting him/herself diplomatically and ethically to assure harmony between NAWCADLKE and Fleet Commands, TYCOMs SYSCOMs, and shipyards when faced with making difficult decisions. Communicating well orally and in writing. Broad knowledge and experience of mechanical ALRE systems & equipment. Working knowledge of NAVSEA systems & equipment and troubleshooting ALRE systems & equipment onboard ship. Ability to read & interpret technical data packages including drawings, technical publications, & manuals. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
