Duties
- You will perform budget and financial analysis, resolve complex funding issues, and provide expert advice to managers while ensuring financial decisions comply with applicable laws, policies, and organizational requirements.
- You will develop, formulate, and execute budget plans, monitor financial resources, resolve funding problems, and recommend solutions that support program goals while maintaining accurate and compliant financial practices.
- You will interpret financial management laws, regulations, and policies, and provide guidance to managers on budgeting, funding, resource allocation, and financial controls affecting programs and organizational operations.
- You will advise managers and staff on complex financial matters, evaluate funding requirements, identify risks, and develop recommendations that improve financial processes, resource management, and program performance.
- You will supervise employees by setting priorities, assigning work, evaluating performance, providing guidance and development opportunities, and addressing workplace issues while maintaining a fair and productive work environment.
- You will conduct financial reviews and analyses, coordinate with program and budget personnel, and provide clear recommendations that resolve funding concerns and improve the effectiveness of financial management practices.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage AND/OR supervise budgets, resolve financial issues, advise managers, interpret financial requirements, AND/OR supervise staff to ensure programs use resources properly and comply with applicable laws and policies. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
