Duties

• Develops protocols and mechanisms to monitor, analyze, and evaluate the delivery of managed care support to TRICARE eligible beneficiaries.
• Conducts extensive coordination efforts with other DoD and federal agencies, which implement new programs in the Military Health System (MHS).
• Prepares responses to proposed legislative Bills pertaining to specific health care services.
• Arranges meetings with senior representatives from the Tri-Service branches, civilian contractors, and other DoD personnel.
• Reviews, coordinates, and develops annual budgets.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing healthcare regulations or guidelines to assist managed care program administration; providing technical assistance on healthcare policies to cross-functional organizational partners; and tracking annual program budgets to recommend adjustments for healthcare operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
