About the Position: This position is with the Anniston Munitions Center located at Anniston, Alabama. This position serves as a Operations Specialist responsible for supporting training operations, senior leadership briefings, and missile inspections.

Duties

• Reviews emergency contingency preparedness plans for federal, state and local governments.
• Resolves operational and safety issues during THAAD missile operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Serves as the operations specialist for the missile program.
• Conducts operational analysis for organizational projects.
• Coordinates with leadership to plan current and future operations support requirements for the organization.
• Briefs leadership on logistics and maintenance issues for organization.
• Communicates technical and safety information during THAAD missile operations and training events.

Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: preparing personnel equipment and/or facilities for routine training activities; preparing reports and briefings for senior leadership; conducting inspections of liquid-fueled guided missiles. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
