Summary

Duties
- You will provide customer service in person, by telephone, and email and complete correspondence (answer written inquiries, prepare letters to obtain missing information, etc.).
- You will evaluate and authenticate documents for record support.
- You will interpret policies and procedures regarding eligibility requirements, benefits for personnel actions.
- You will identify, correct and verify inaccurate information in personnel systems.
Qualifications
GS-05 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Examining, evaluating and extracting information needed to process a variety of personnel actions for all categories of personnel; 2) Maintaining, formatting, verifying content and use of personnel records; 3) Utilizing personnel databases to research, update, and process personnel actions; and 4) Collaborating with individuals, departments and other organizations to obtain information required. GS-04 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of generalized experience demonstrating progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-05: Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. GS-04: Successful completion of at least two full academic years of education above high school OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
