Duties

  • As the Senior Advisor for the Operational Environment (OE) Concept Design, experimentation, threat replication, DOTMLPF-P integration, and materiel requirements for Future Concepts Command (FCC), serves as the principal subject matter expert for both the Transformation and Training Command (T2COM G-2) and FCC. The incumbent leads advanced analysis of current and emerging foreign military approaches to war, capabilities, and technologies to identify threats and opportunities in support of FCC, orchestrating a critical bridge between threat intelligence and Concept Development, Wargaming, and Experimentation. The Advisor provides the executive vision and strategic execution necessary to integrate threat analysis into concepts and materiel requirements across the enterprise, including subordinate organizations such as DEVCOM and TDAC. By ensuring that sophisticated adversary intelligence is embedded directly into the modernization mission, the incumbent ensures that concepts, capabilities, and force design requirements are fully threat informed.

Inherent to this senior officer qualification is a deep understanding of the Intelligence enterprise and a shared commitment to the IC's core values. Technical Qualification - Mandatory Demonstrated ability to perform and lead advanced analysis of emerging and future foreign military approaches to war, capabilities and technologies to identify threats and opportunities in support of the Futures and Concepts Command in Concept Development, Wargaming, and Experimentation. Demonstrated ability to present complex analysis coherently to senior military and civilian decision makers and to apply those skills and analytic expertise across the command. JOINT DUTY ASSIGNMENT SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates for this position will be reviewed for receipt of joint duty credit. Requirements

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position. Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required. You must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. 1-year DISL probation unless previously served. 2-year probation for DCIPS requirement unless previously served. Both probations can be served simultaneously. Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) upon entry, and annually thereafter. The incumbent is required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, and other modes as required, under conditions specified under the DoD Joint Travel Regulations. Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination. Re-Employment of Annuitants: In accordance with section 9902(h) of title 5, United States Code, annuitants reemployed in the Department of Defense shall receive full annuity and salary upon appointment. They shall not be eligible for retirement contributions, participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, or a supplemental or redetermined annuity for the reemployment period. Discontinued service retirement annuitants appointed to the Department of Defense may elect to be subject to retirement provisions of the new appointment as appropriate.
