Duties

• Ensures facilities, equipment, utilities, and grounds meet mission requirements.
• Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, milestones, deadlines and/or program issues under review.
• Distributes and balances workload among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
• Performing surveillance, coordination, operation, termination, and maintenance of physical facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and grounds for all of Fort Hood.
• Exercises direct and indirect interactions with contractor operations and maintenance which consists of a wide range of skilled trades and technical support including electrical, earthwork, and mechanical trades.
• Develops, coordinates, and manages a variety of projects, including (but not limited to) maintenance and repair, rehabilitation, and service projects from inception to completion.
• Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for designated service contracts. Duties as COR include ensuring that contractor performance complies with all contractual provisions and regulatory requirements.
• Serves as a resident technical expert on policy, regulatory matters, operations, maintenance, improvement, and protection of facilities, systems, equipment, grounds, drainage channels, etc. pertaining to facilities.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Management/Support Inspection, Test, and Measurement Techniques Practices, Procedures, Responsibilities, and Functions of Contractors Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
