Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS). Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Duties
- Conducts complex all-source cyber threat analysis and develops timely finished intelligence products to protect the DODIN, mitigate risks, and gain threat attribution across the Computer Network Operations (CNO) spectrum.
- Serves as a Cybersecurity Intelligence SME and principal advisor to the Commander and staff on the employment of defensive cyber operations (DCO) assets, personnel, and global transportation information systems security.
- Vets global threat data with IT and Intel partners, driving horizontal communication with peer cyber agencies and vertical dissemination to Joint Services, USTRANSCOM, and DoD intelligence networks.
- Manages cyber threat intelligence requirements in production and dissemination systems, delivering targeted assessments, threat analyses, and strategic briefings to Commanders and General Officers.
- Coordinates and requests network surveillance and cyber reconnaissance, conducting Key Terrain-Cyber (K-TC) audits, penetration testing, and digital forensics to identify vulnerabilities and counter emerging technological threats.
- Develops precedent-setting risk, response, and recovery techniques, including business impact analyses and disaster recovery plans, to secure critical customer programs, force management, and doctrine.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) analyzing all-source cyber intelligence to identify threat actors, (2) managing cyber threat requirements within intelligence production systems, and (3) performing technical cyber security operations, such as coordinating network surveillance, support Key Terrain audits and vulnerability testing, or developing continuity and disaster recovery plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
