Summary

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Corporate Operations Dept, ACI/Information Technology Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This is not a high-grade position: therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370.00).

Duties

  • You will manage information security programs to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical networks and systems.
  • You will draft and review vital security documents, including risk assessments, system security plans, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • You will analyze and document system capabilities to establish regulatory compliance and secure official authorization to operate.
  • You will perform regular security audits of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, quantify risks, and verify system baselines.
  • You will monitor systems for security weaknesses, coordinate corrective actions, and report security incidents to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle to track security authorization artifacts for an Authority to Operate (ATO), execute vulnerability scans, and collaborate with technical teams to remediate weaknesses for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical system networks.
