Duties
- Incumbent serves as Supervisory Assistant (Logistics), integrating supply, maintenance, and transportation functions; monitors and evaluates property management/accountability controls; prepares annual inventory procedures.
- Supervises staff; provides work objectives, guidance, and training in supply, inventory, and storage management; plans, assigns, and directs work through subordinates; establishes priorities; and reviews work in progress and on completion.
- Responsible for development of policies and procedures for equipment procurement, authorization, utilization, and disposal; establishes and maintains contacts for procurement, delivery, or emergency transportation.
- Manages property warehouse; arranges pickup/delivery, storage, inventory, preservation, issue and disposal of equipment; maintains locator system; inspects facilities for safety; coordinates security with PMO, Military Police, and local authorities.
- Manages Postal Service work assignments for efficient mail processing; adjusts for workload changes.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have a minimum of three years progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems and recognize solutions, plan and organize work, and communicate effectively orally and in writing. OR Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university. Education earned in purchasing, global logistics, logistics operations, storage and distribution, economics, accounting and business law or other applicable fields may be substituted for hands-on-experience.
