Summary
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Executive Secretariat (ES) spearheads all high-level activities of the Director of National intelligence (DNI) and Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence (PDDNI). Led by exceptional officers in a fast-paced environment, this group manages travel, senior-level meetings, official functions, protocol events, and executive correspondence. ES experts also provide cutting-edge business analytics support for all facets of mission.
Duties
- As a member of the Executive Secretariat staff's Executive Engagements Group, officer will provide support and coordination managing the travel and executive engagements of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence (PDDNI). Develop communication materials ensuring key stakeholder coordination in order to produce high quality and timely deliverables. Build read-ahead materials and briefing books that are error free to prepare principals for meetings with the President of the United States, cabinet-level policymakers, and IC leaders. Work with appropriate ODNI components and Intelligence Community (IC) elements while you log and track task status, negotiate extensions to deadlines, anticipate impediments to successful and timely responses. Conduct outreach to assist ODNI personnel in their efforts to respond to taskings and prepare staff packages and correspondence for ODNI senior leadership. Develop strong partnerships with ODNI component offices, IC agencies, and other U.S. organizations in order to obtain desired outcomes. Ensure proper handling of highly classified and limited distribution materials, and perform security control officer functions as required.
Qualifications
Basic ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member, and proactively manage competing priorities under strict deadlines. Interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain professional networks across organizational boundaries to exert influence. Basic analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically and identify needs, requirements, and develop recommendations. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products. Basic knowledge of the ODNI and IC mission, organization, roles, and responsibilities.
