Summary

This position is part of the Y-12 Field Office, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will support the NNSA Y-12 Field Office (YFO) Assistant Manager for Business and Contract Management, providing programmatic direction of the management and operating prime contract for the Y-12 National Security Complex.

Duties

  • As a Program Manager, you will: Provide site, program, and project management support associated with contract administration and business management. Provide programmatic direction and technology analysis support the NNSA Y-12 Field Office and a management and operating prime contract with over 8,000employees and an annual budget in excess of $3B. Serve as the point of contact and administrative expert providing staff assistance on matters of administrative management and improvement of program effectiveness. Establish strategic goals and objectives to manage, administer and implement the programs and missions of the Office. Provide authoritative responses to Congressional, State, Federal Agency inquiries, and serves as Agency spokesperson at meetings or conferences with professional groups, national industry organizations, and/or management of the prime Management and Operating (M&O) Contract.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade in the Federal Service, i.e., NQ-03 or GS-14. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in directing and overseeing finance/budget operations and contract management. Examples of specialized experience may include: Management operating contractor oversight and evaluation; or Requirements and risk analysis and management; or Management of full scope of business operations; or Application of program and project management principles for business management operations; or Leading or supervising a business management staff.

Requirements
