This National Guard position is for a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1263000 and is part of the FL AASF 1, National Guard.
Duties
- As an Administrative Support Assistant (OA), GS-0303-07, you will advise regarding the practical and technical aspects of office administration, to include budgeting, purchasing, supply, personnel, word processing, and files management; and performs staff support work in each of these areas. Updates the office's supply sources; purchases supplies, equipment, and services through open market purchase by blanket agreement, cash or field purchase order, or similar methods; processes and tracks purchase documents; Collects data for the office-operating budget, reviews submissions for proper format and compliance with budget requirements, and consolidates material into an annual office budget. Sets up controls to monitor expenses during the year; and recommends budget adjustments including restructuring budget allocations or work plans to deal with changing situations such as varying costs for equipment parts, or services, and changes in the availability of funds. Maintains and transfer funds between several unrelated appropriated fund accounts and several revolving fund accounts. The accounts are subject to different regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. Military Grades: Officer/Warrant Officer/Enlisted: E3 thru O3 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS07 Must have At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service that includes knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and federal civilian or military personnel programs; interpreting and applying regulations, procedures, and laws; performing administrative support functions; advising on office administrative matters such as budgeting, purchasing, supply, personnel, word processing, and records management; purchasing supplies, equipment, and services and tracking purchase documents; and assisting with budget formulation, execution, monitoring, and adjustment of appropriated and revolving fund accounts.
