Summary
The DoW CIO is responsible for driving the enterprise technical strategy and overseeing all matters relating to the DoW information environment. This position ensures WHMO capabilities align with national security requirements and EOP operational priorities. The White House Technology (WHT) office within WHMO is responsible for directing the operation, maintenance, and security of information systems and ensuring secure, reliable, and presidential-quality communications.
Duties
- This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. For more information on the Cyber Excepted Service Personnel System, click here If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: ? Coordinates administrative and personnel support requirements, including workforce assignments, in-processing, out-processing, and other staffing-related actions. ? Plans and coordinates program support involving administrative services, logistics, and organizational resources. ? Analyzes administrative and resource requirements, identifies gaps or competing priorities, and recommends solutions to improve mission support. ? Serves as an administrative liaison among leadership, program officials, human resources personnel, and supporting organizations to resolve complex issues and obtain required services. ? Develops reports, status updates, and recommendations for leadership and evaluates administrative processes and workflows to improve coordination, accountability, and mission execution.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GG 12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: GG 12 One year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GG/GS 11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability in: 1. Coordinating administrative and personnel support activities, including workforce requirements, assignments, in-processing, and out-processing; 2. Planning and monitoring program support requirements, identifying administrative or resource gaps, and recommending improvements to processes and workflows; AND 3.Coordinating across multiple organizations to interpret guidance, resolve administrative or program support issues, and obtain resources or services necessary to accomplish mission requirements. GG 13 One year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability in: 1. Advising leadership on workforce planning, personnel requirements, and complex or time-sensitive administrative matters affecting organizational operations; 2. Analyzing and evaluating administrative, program, and resource requirements; assessing competing priorities; and developing recommendations to improve resource utilization and mission execution; AND 3. Representing an organization in engagements with senior officials and program stakeholders to interpret broad guidance, negotiate solutions to complex administrative or program issues, and facilitate agreements supporting mission objectives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Members may be appointed before the effective date of their military retirement/separation if they are on terminal leave.
