Summary
This position is located at: NAF Support Services- Fort Riley, Kansas. Army MWR IT delivers the critical digital infrastructure and technology services that keep resilience-building programs running, directly strengthening our active-duty service members and their families.
Duties
- Provide technical support duties to customer support personnel. Serves as a help desk representative.
- Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents.
- Researches, evaluates, and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains customer hardware and software.
- Provides training and instruction to enhance user performance. Sets system security levels based on under performance and appropriate regulations.
- Develops and documents standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation procedures and policies.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Experience that provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions, system installation and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and system OR Completion of a two year degree with a major course of study in computer science, information science, information systems management, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. Highly Preferred Qualification: 1 year experience on how to operate Vermont System databases (RecTrac & CYSM 10.3) or similar. 1 year experience in IT diagnosing/troubleshooting office equipment (CPU, monitors, printers, etc) Possess or ability to gain A+ and Security+ certifications within 120 days of on-boarding To better expedite the hiring process, we recommend including full contact information (name, address, phone number, email, etc.) for professional and personal references on your resume.
