Summary

You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER in the S4 Logistics Section of the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.

Duties

  • You will serve as technical advisor to all echelons of management and maintain the stability and continuity of the management programs during the absences of the Logistics Officer.
  • You will be determining requirements, positioning/ repositioning items, initiating procurement, storage/ inventory management, as well as providing life cycle supply/ program support for assigned equipment.
  • You will assist in the management of the S4 Logistics Section by researching supply/ logistics, fiscal, and/ or personnel regulations and procedures to provide data for the accomplishment of the supply/ logistics mission.
  • You will review, validate, and approve requests within the Marine Corps Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) for all General Services Administration (GSA) and Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) purchases.
  • You wil serve as the Assistant Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR) and be responsible for creating contract requests in DAI.
  • You will develop procedural changes to supply/ logistics management programs and submit recommendations to higher headquarters upon approval of S-4 section Officer In Charge (OIC).
  • You will prepare the Marine Corps Navy Working Capital Fund Budget for submission to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and manage the Commercial Purchase Cards (GCPC) in compliance with financial regulations.
  • You will anticipate, review and analyse changes in projected program requirements to maintain budget program performance within specified limits.
  • You will resolve differences between Department Managers involving property management and budget/ fiscal operating policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing automated logistics databases (such as GCSS-MC and DAI) to plan, coordinating, and executing supply, storage, property booking inventory, and fiscal budget operations. This includes formulating procurement budgets, managing Government-wide Commercial Purchase Cards (GCPC) in compliance with financial regulations, and serving as an Assistant Contracting Officer's Representative (ACOR) to monitor multi-category civilian and contractor work operations.
