Summary

Duties
- You will serve as the primary initial point of contact for victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment and work closely with the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) to ensure comprehensive care for victims throughout the reporting process.
- You will facilitate are and providing non-clinical support to adult victims of a sexual assault and sexual harassment.
- You will assess the safety of sexual harassment complainants who wish to confer with a victim advocate.
- You will assist victims reporting sexual harassment to address any immediate safety needs, understand their sexual assault reporting options (as applicable), and identify any behavioral health or other services that may be helpful.
- You will explain all available SAPR services to the victim and conduct a warm hand-off to the equal opportunity office for official reporting of sexual harassment.
- You will provide a wide range of essential support and advocacy services, liaison services, and care to victims of sexual harassment.
- You will establish liaisons with local victim support agencies in order to gain support and cooperation in achieving support for victims of sexual harassment and to promote the enhancement of sexual harassment services.
- You will conduct SAPR training for healthcare professionals, chaplains, judge advocates, law enforcement and other stakeholders on SAPR reporting options, and policies and procedures that support sexual assault victims.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1). Providing sexual assault and sexual harassment advocacy services; 2). Developing, implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; AND 3). Developing and coordinating SAPR prevention and public awareness campaign events. Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must posses:Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
