INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (SOURCING)

About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Supply Directorate Sourcing Division, OIB Sourcing branch. Duties

• Plans, develops, implements, and oversee OIB repair programs through the life cycle, including program scope, funding, schedules, strategies, and execution.
• Monitors performance and resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, readiness, of secondary item repair output.
• Repair Requirements analysis - Analyzes program forecasts, due-ins, inventory, repair requirements, Bill of Materials (BOM), scrap rate, and other supply chain data to identify gaps and ensure repair programs can be executed successfully.
• Organic Industrial Base Sourcing and Optimization – Identifies, analyzes, and validates opportunities to source or expand workload within the OIB. Assesses OIB capabilities and capacity, develops business cases and performance measures.
• Repair Program Integration Coordination – Integrates activities across depots, supply planning, program/product managers, contracting, DLA, and weapon system teams.
• Ensure funding, material availability, schedules and corrective actions to prevent or resolve repair program delays.
• Policy and Metrics – Develops and implements repair sourcing strategies. Ensures repair metrics and execution are consistent with appropriate policy and regulations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
