Summary
About the Position: This position is with DoW Education Activity HQ, Financial & Business Operations, Directors Office of the Associate Director in Alexandria, VA.
Duties
- Directs the administrative operations of the office. Ensures the most efficient and effective support is provided to the COO in the execution of his/her responsibilities.
- Establishes and exercises control over the Chief Operating Officer's (COO) calendar for daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
- Provides advisory services on a variety of administrative and editorial issues which impact on DoWEA.
- Serves as the Directorate’s administrator and primary manager for the web-based suspense tracking system.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations and customer support to the Financial and Business Operations (FBO) Directorate.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: coordinate taskings, executive engagements, and schedules by using existing web-based and digital tools; and manage correspondence and suspense processes by reviewing, assigning, and tracking high-priority actions, ensuring accurate, timely responses and effective coordination on sensitive matters. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
