This position is part of the Government Publication Sales, Government Publishing Office in Pueblo, Colorado.

Duties

  • Verifies stock condition and identification to determine publications' usability for distribution.
  • Fulfills orders by pulling requested publications from retail shelves, packaging them according to USPS regulations, and delivering full mail bags to proper containers.
  • Ensures publications received by the Pueblo Distribution Center match in name and quantity with due-in reports.
  • Maintains digital databases of product stock and order fulfillment activity.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Supply Technician, PG-2005-5, you must meet the following requirements: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the PG-04 in the federal service related to the work of the position, OR Four successfully completed years of education above the high school level, OR A combination of specialized experience and successfully completed education. Specialized experience includes the following: Using a database to retrieve and input information Packaging and fulfilling orders in accordance with USPS or UPS regulations Operating equipment including tape and glue dispensers, package meters, and postage scales. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. When combining education and experience, only education completed after the first 60 semester hours (or beyond the second year of education) can be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (or 30 semester hours) after the second year of education is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (09/25/2026) to be considered.
