Summary

You will serve as a Project Superintendent in the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) Detachment Stirling, Australia Maintenance Support Operations, Garden Island, Australia. The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia. ***See Additional Information section below for details***

Duties

  • You will manage, control and oversee the planning, engineering, production, and testing for the availability maintenance in Australia.
  • You will recommend modifications of the work package and elevate the need to review manpower priorities, if necessary.
  • You will review projects for regulatory and code compliance and their impact on the annual work plan.
  • You will establish employee performance standards, evaluate performance, provide counseling, and recommend appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
  • You will plan and evaluate work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • You will exercise supervision over subordinate staff, planning and assigning work, setting performance standards, and handling all personnel matters including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
  • You will represent the organization in high-level conferences on matters of facility, planning, funding, training, and policy.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: planning, coordinating, and executing production work of various trades in support of ship system overhaul, repair, or modification projects to ensure completion of work phases in accordance with project schedules.
