Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5264000 and is part of the CO USPFO, National Guard.
Duties
- The primary purpose of this position is to direct the development, coordination, and implementation of procedural changes; to direct the performance of management/program analysis for the logistic activities under the jurisdiction of the USPFO; and to direct acquisition, accountability, incoming, outgoing and formal transfer of logistic asset for the USPFO in support of the Federal and state mission. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Develops plans, programs, and policies for the operation, management, and administration of current and projected organizational programs. Develops draft policies, concepts, and procedures to ensure that an effective operation is maintained using personnel, equipment, and funding to support the mission. Ensures coordination with the other state USPFO, USPFO branches and state activities and units for material support for projects, operations, or programs including works such as: equipment fielding, commercial non-standard equipment authorizations and distribution. Monitors the status and effectiveness of material support by identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems within state logistical operations. Provides guidance regarding logistic inventory control and conducting surveys of logistic supplies and inventory management functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. 2. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. 3. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. 4. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. 5. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. 6. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Preferred experience: - 24 months of property book experience.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
