Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the D0D Workfoce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The position is located aboard Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland Building #6010. It is an office environment with a standard 8-hour workday.
Duties
- Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist supporting security cooperation case life-cycle management for foreign customers.
- Develops requests for information and pre–Letter of Request packages; coordinates technical reviews, customer engagements, site surveys, and logistics planning; and prepares Letter of Offer and Acceptance data, pricing, acquisition.
- Manages case execution by monitoring requirements, funding, procurement, delivery schedules, transportation and maintenance.
- Resolves logistics issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains records management and related administrative functions.
- Provides command briefings.
Qualifications
Who May Apply: US Citizens This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-02 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-05 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-11 grade step 10 in the broadband. This position is covered by control points to account for variances in position responsibilities within the broadband. The Control Point for this position NH-02 Logistics Management Specialist is $46,610 to $ 111,087 including locality at the rate of 33.94%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position. Management will select qualified applicants for this position at the GS-11 grade level. In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 or GS-04 grade level, which includes 1) Assisting with drafting Pre-Letter of Request (LOR) to assist in the acquisition of major weapon systems; 2) Assisting in the cradle to grave initiatives to include schedule of work, cost and payment schedule in support of a logistical program; and 3) Assisting with developing life cycle logistics support initiatives to lower overall life cycle systems cost. OR I have successfully completed a full four (4) year course of study leading to a Bachelor's Degree. (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR I have the general experience as described in A, but less than three (3) years; and I have some education as described in B, but less than the required four (4) years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 36. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 120. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.). (NOTE: You MUST attach a copy of your transcripts.)
