Summary

You will serve as a Requirements and Procurement Input Development (RAPID) Acquisition Team Lead in the Weapons Control and Integration Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322).

Duties

  • You will be responsible for oversight of acquisition for the team to include mentoring and training personnel on various procurement types (Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), PCARD, MILSTRIP) and tracking all procurements and metrics.
  • You will provide day-to-day procurement support to Government Technical POCs and all team members.
  • You will stay current with acquisition policies and keep personnel informed of guidance influencing development of new policy to ensure that the technical department perspectives and needs are considered.
  • You will stay thoroughly versed in all acquisition types to include material and service acquisitions as well as Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements.
  • You will influence development and maintenance of processes, policies, and schedules for acquisitions, tracking progress to ensure actions are completed and executed on time, and preparing and presenting regular schedule updates to leadership.
  • You will develop and oversee overarching acquisition strategies/plans for the department.
  • You will develop/maintain training documents and share point site for acquisition team members use.
  • You will prepare and assist team members with preparation of SAP packages and other acquisition actions to ensure requirements are understood and executed timely and accurately.
  • You will maintain effective communications with all stakeholders in the acquisition/contracting process to ensure potential issues are identified and mitigated early.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading with expertise in the execution of government procurement methods (i.e., government purchase card, Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAPs), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliant contracts).
