Duties

  • Provide assistance to analysts in data analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of several Automated Information Systems (AIS). Performs administrative work and administrative processing of space planning and associated resources.
  • Manage space plan for the Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) Division.
  • Assist senior analysts in preparing cost analysis or reports by providing requested data by using data retrieval client/server software.
  • Advise on the potential benefits/uses of automation to improve the efficiency of administrative support or program operations.
  • Provide functional support and guidance on issues related to data capture, structuring system inquiries, and system capabilities/limitations.
  • Accomplish clerical, statistical, and data entry tasks in support of the administrative work of the office, using an automated data processing systems.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Specialized Experience for GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes aiding with the collection or maintenance of data, preparing cost analysis reports, and assisting with quality assurance reviews of Medical Expense Reporting System (MEPRS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Finance. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with training personnel regarding the collection or maintenance of data, analyzing financial reports, and utilizing enterprise business and healthcare systems(e.g., GFEBS, MEPRS, and MHS GENESIS). . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Finance. . OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
