This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D0097000, within the 177th MXS of the NJ NG. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. This technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, anti-detonant injection (ADI), and inflight refueling systems.
Duties
- As an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-8268-10, you will: Perform leak checks of aircraft fuel systems by visual inspection or by removal of panels Repair, reassemble, and install fuel system components Perform operational and functional checks to insure proper operation Participate in various types of readiness evaluations
Qualifications
General Experience: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 18 months of specialized experience which demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical principles. Fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines Servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing, and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems Diagnosing trouble and determining remedies Mechanic repairs using hand tools and test equipment Demonstrating the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications
Requirements
Areas of Consideration: Area III Title 32 Only, Members of the New Jersey National Guard.
