Summary
This position is located at the Aquatics Center on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Duties
- Performs life guarding duties and employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests.
- Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required.
- Keeps accurate records and adequate supplies.
- Assists in maintaining pool and area clean and free from any hazards.
- Attends aquatics and/or safety training as directed.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess and maintain the following certifications (A copy of each certification must be submitted at the time of application): Lifeguard (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard or Ellis.) American Red Cross Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional. CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (i.e. Star Guard or Ellis.) First Aid. Customer service experience. Highly Preferred: Candidates who possess highly preferred criteria below and meet the minimum qualifications above will be referred to the hiring manager first. (A copy of each certification must be submitted at the time of application.) American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or nationally recognized equivalent, i.e. Star Guard or Ellis Water Safety Instructor Certification. American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor or nationally recognized equivalent, i.e. Star Guard or Ellis Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
